What
kinds of ESL classes do you offer?
Brydon English Language institute offers various course options. For more information please

Who
can take ESL classes?
Anyone who is interested in improving their
English language skills can take the ESL courses.

are your classes held? All our classes are held in our building located in the Tysons Corner
area. Please click [here] for location

Does
everybody need to take the placement test? Anyone interested in taking English language classes at the Brydon Language Institute is required to take the
placement test. Please click [here] for more information.

How
many students are in the classes? Bryon English Language Institute aims to provide its students with the most comfortable, enjoyable and
interactive language learning environment. Therefore, our class sizes will be kept at a minimum. Class size
shall not exceed 17 students.

How
do I enroll? Students must complete the Brydon Language Institute Application. Once the application is processed,
the student will be required to take the placement test to determine his/her proficiency level.

What
is the application process?
Only completed applications will be reviewed. A completed application
consists of the following:
- Application form.
- Non refundable application fee.
- Deposit (for international students)
- Copy of Identification (Government issued ID, passport ID page
for international students)
- Proof of sufficient financial support or affidavit support for
(international students).

How
do I register?
Once your proficiency level is determined, we offer online and in
person registration and billing services [here].

What
method of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, Visa, Master Card, Discover, certified bank check, cashier's check, money order, and
wire transfers.

do classes start?
Brydon English Language Institute has a rolling enrollment policy which provides frequent enrollment

How
long do the classes take?
Classes range between 6 to 12 weeks. For more information please
review our course schedule.

am not a native speaker of English, but I live in the U.S. Do I
have to take the test? Anyone interested in taking English language classes at the Brydon Language Institute is required to
take the placement test.

took ESL classes at another language institute, would I be able
to transfer my grades?
Brydon Language Institute does not take transfer credits from other
language institutes.

Can I take any other
classes while being enrolled in the full-time ESL classes?
Yes, students can take a variety of courses while attending their ESL classes. Please click [here]

What
are the nationalities of students attending ESL classes? Brydon English Language Institute hosts a variety of students coming from many nations; such as Turkey,
China, Africa, Korea, Europe, and South America.

Are
there any other costs involved in the ESL program?
Yes, there are other expenses such as, but not limited to, the placement test fee and the course
book fees, etc.

Do
I have to take an exit exam to enter the next ESL level? No, in order to advance to the next level, students must achieve a minimum overall grade of 70%.
Students who have met this requirement
may advance to an even to a higher level by retaking the
placement test.

If
I start classes as a beginner, how long will it take me to complete
the entire course of study? Intensive ESL courses are 12 weeks long. If a student starts with the beginner level and takes the
courses consecutively it will take18 months to complete the entire course of study. However,
Students eligible to retake the placement test may advance to an even higher level should their test results
indicate that they may skip a level. Business ESL courses are six weeks long, to complete all courses
it will take 30 weeks or approximately 7 months to complete the entirecourse of study. We also offer
TOEFL - iBT preparation classes which range from 6 to 12 weeks. [Course offerings]

I
submitted my application, when and how will I receive a decision?
The time frame for admission notification can vary considerably on a basis of a number of factors,
such as a students' submission of a complete application
[refer to New Students page for more information]
Generally speaking an average review of application packet takes approximately 1 to 2 weeks.
Please note that admissions submitted are immediately reviewed and all decisions are issued
through the mail.

Will
you tell me over the phone whether I have been admitted or not? No. We are required to honor our applicant's right to privacy. Accordingly, our confidentiality policy
prohibits us from disclosing information to anyone by phone, since we are unable to fully verify the identity
of the caller. Requests for information may be sent via postal
service, hand-delivery, e-mail, or fax.
However, our reply will only be sent to the address we have on file for the applicant
