Director of Information Technology Services

Paul de Bruin serves as Director of Information Technology Services for the University of North America. His responsibilities include providing leadership, coordination, training, supervision, and evaluation to all UoNA technical staff. Prior to joining the UoNA team, he was employed at another local area university as a Software Applications Engineer where he was responsible for the upkeep and management of the school’s student record system.

Preceding his interest in education he worked as a Technical Support Specialist for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (N.I.S.T.) at the Gaithersburg, Maryland, Campus. While at N.I.S.T. Mr. de Bruin held positions with multiple government contracting agencies, during which time he was responsible for Server maintenance, procurement, and managing staff for the upkeep and maintenance of upwards, of 800 workstations campus wide.

His areas of expertise are with systems assessment and integration over multiple platform environments assuring compatibility and reliability.
