Paul R. de Bruin serves as Chief Operating Officer and acting Director of Information Technology for the University of North America (UoNA) with responsibility for the day to day operations providing effective leadership, as well as stewardship.

Prior to joining the UoNA team, Mr. de Bruin was employed with another local area university as a Software Applications Engineer where he was responsible for the upkeep and management of the school’s student information system.

Preceding his interest in education he worked as a Senior Technical Support Specialist for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (N.I.S.T.) at the Gaithersburg, Maryland, Campus. While at N.I.S.T. Mr. de Bruin held positions with multiple government contracting agencies, during which time he was responsible for Server maintenance, procurement, and managing staff for the upkeep and maintenance of upwards, 800 workstations campus wide.

His technical areas of expertise are with systems assessment and integration over multiple platform environments assuring compatibility and reliability.
