A graduate of Thomas Edison State College, Markel has worked in the field higher education for over 20 years; working at such universities as Trinity University, The George Washington University and the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. Markel has held such positions as Registrar, Director of Operations, Executive Coordinator for Student Services, and Sr. Manager for Student Affairs & Admissions, giving her the in-depth knowledge and experience needed to serve students in the most efficient manner.

She has managed and supervised the entire student process from the initial application request through commencement and beyond. Markel honors the integrity of maintaining accurate student records and adhering to policies and procedures administered by federal and local governments.

Markel shares the same goal as the University of North America of making the student experience a pleasant and memorable educational experience that will last a lifetime.
