Bernard J.E. van Gils, Esq. serves UoNA as General Counsel
Mr. van Gils is responsible for the management of all legal matters including corporate governance, domestic and international transactions and strategic alliances, human resources, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property. Mr. van Gils has over 20 years of diverse domestic and international experience as a transactional attorney and business consultant.

Mr. van Gils is also an adjunct professor of law who has lectured in the U.S., Indonesia, China and the Czech Republic. Mr. van Gils contributes to his local community by providing his legal, teaching and executive abilities as a member of the Board of Directors of the Fauquier County Chamber of Commerce, and he has sat on the boards of the Fauquier County Community Action Committee, the Partnership for Warrenton, the Ballet Academy of Warrenton and the Fauquier Regional Technology Association.
